Do What?! Rules

Starting the Game: You start by choosing the Great Decider, also known as the judge. To choose the first Great Decider, everyone rolls a die (make sure everyone uses the same amount of sides on a die, preferably d6, roll for ties). The Great Decider is the highest roller. If you don’t have a die of any kind, the youngest is the Great Decider.

Gameplay: Once the Great Decider has been chosen, they can draw a card from the app (tap Start) or the physical deck (whichever version you are using). Then, the Great Decider must choose whether to skip the card and draw a new one or keep it. If he/she keeps the card, they must read the card out loud to the other players, and show it to them. The players should try their best to follow the instructions on the card in order to impress the Great Decider. The Great Decider awards a point to the person that can do it the fastest, best, or most amusingly. Finally, the player to the left of the Great Decider becomes the Great Decider, and the next turn begins. Tap Next and pass the device to the next Great Decider if you’re playing with the app. (In case you were wondering, the old Great Decider loses the role of Great Decider.)

The Difference Between “All Together” and “One at a Time”: When you draw an All Together card, everyone does what the card tells them to do when the Great Decider says “Go.” When you draw a One at a Time card, every player has 20 seconds to come up with a response, then, starting with the person to the left of the Great Decider, people will share their responses in a clockwise fashion.

Winning: To win, you must be the first get to 8 points with 3-5 players, or 10 points with 6-10 players.

Expansions: If you randomly have a d6 lying around, or a bunch of meeples, there are cards for things to do with the die and the meeples. Also, if you have an odd number of players (including the Great Decider) that is at least 5, you can use Pick a Partner cards, where the non-judges form partnerships to complete the card. When a partnership wins, both partners get a point.
